My view from the 5th row:

“What do you see as your greatest achievement? … *smiling, looking wistful and beaming with pride…*

GC on bullying and and getting to know Einstein:

I shouldn’t show you this but…..

I’ve not stalked. I’ve just payed homage. Twice. With lovely, enabling Husband’s approval.

Clooney's gate at Como. Dont judge. *You. No, not you.. the other lady. Yes, you, I see you judging.* Pfffft!

Other comedy gold of the evening:

I (Maggie Galehouse, Houston Chronicle) asked him what he would do if, tomorrow, he woke up as a woman.

He grinned slightly, narrowing his eyes, and gave me a sharp answer to the softball question.

“In my industry, if I woke up as a woman I would lose 75 percent of my work and 50 percent of my salary.”

I asked him what was on his bucket list, a question he also was asked onstage:

“I feel like I already hit the jackpot,” he said. “So if I get hit by a bus tomorrow, I’m OK.”

And then I told him (just to prove I’d done a little homework), that his ex-wife, actress Talia Balsam, is fabulous in “Mad Men.”

“Isn’t she?” he smiled in agreement. (In the AMC series, Balsam plays the ex-wife of John Slattery‘s Roger Sterling. In real life, Balsam is married to Slattery.)

Wyatt asked him about his tryout for the Cincinnati Reds. Clooney, a longtime athlete, said: “I wanted to be a professional baseball player. I only lacked talent.”

Twice voted “Sexiest Man Alive” by People magazine, Clooney made a joke about his age and being the sexiest man still alive.

At one point, Wyatt asked: “How do you make life look so easy?”

“I drink,” was Clooney’s deadpan answer.

Way to cool! Where did you get those photos? Who do I contact so i can go backstage for the next one?

      Hey D

I was on the 6th row in section A. Glad to see that I can recapture the moment. Do you have more pictures? Do you have anymore with Clooney backstage? That’s where the magic happens. Who can I contact to get some of these awesome photos?

      • The only videos I own are right here on my blog. The still pictures are accredited to the Houston Chronicle or Chron.com. I wasn’t privy to backstage. I suppose you’d have to contact the press or Joanne Herring King (pictured with Clooney). I’m pretty sure she’s one of the very few around here to have the heft to get him here. Yaaay, Joanne!

    • This was my own footage I took from my seat. The stills are from the Houston Chronicle to whom I gave credit. I was not privy to backstage and I wouldn’t know who to contact for that…… but I was just so happy to be there for this experience. Thanks for asking 🙂
